Student Staff Application for 2012-2013

Application Process for 2013-2014 Academic Year

Thank you for your interest in applying for a position. Please read the information below to learn more about the process and to apply.

Criteria for Applicants: Before applying, please make sure you read the criteria for all applicants.

Online Application: Please fill out the application entirely. Applications and recommendation letters should be submitted by 3pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2012. Applicants should sign up for an interview at the front desk of CCSJ; the interview sign-up sheet will be available at the beginning of the Spring 2013 semester. You will receive an email once it's available. The online application is available here.

Position Descriptions: Please either open or print the position descriptions before you begin the online application in order to help you rank your position preferences. Note: Applicants for Student Assistant or Work Study Service positions must be "federal work study" eligible.

Information Sessions: Attendance at one of the information sessions is strongly encouraged to learn more about the positions and the interview process. If you cannot attend a session and would like to learn more about the position in person, please call ext. 2380 or email ccsjsa@loyola.edu to schedule a meeting. Sessions are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, December 5, 6-7pm, CCSJ Common Space (HU142)
Thursday, December 6, 6-7pm, CCSJ Common Space (HU142)
Wednesday, January 16, 6-7pm, CCSJ Common Space (HU142)
Thursday, January 17, 6-7pm, CCSJ Common Space (HU142)

PLEASE NOTE: With occasional exceptions, all student staff positions are for a full academic year (2013-2014). If you are studying abroad for the entire 2013-2014 academic year and wish to be considered for 2014-2015, please indicate that on your application.

Interviews: Each candidate is responsible for scheduling a half-hour interview; the interview committee will consist of two CCSJ professional staff members and a current student staff member. Sign-ups for interview times will be available at the front desk in CCSJ (HU142) at the start of the Spring 2013 semester. You will receive an email once it's available. Interviews will take place from Thursday, January 24 through Friday, February 1. Read more here about how to prepare for your interview.

Recommendations: All applicants must submit two recommendations to complete their application file. At least one of these should be completed by a member of the Loyola community (faculty, administrator, staff, etc). Recommendations are submitted online once you have completed your application, and you will be notified once your recommendation letters have been submitted.
