SumServe (Summer of Service)
Established in 1992, the SumServe Program provides students with an exciting opportunity to immerse themselves in full time service for a ten-week period during the summer. Students selected for this program complete 32 hours of service each week in a Baltimore non-profit agency while living together on campus and gathering for weekly reflection about their community work and about social justice topics. The summer also includes three community building retreats and training about the agency placement. There are two options for this course: 1. Register for SOC 403: SumServe Practicum and Seminar (Receive 3 credits for participation) (Please click here for more details) 2. Apply for a SumServe fellowship (Receive a stipend for participation) (Please click here for more details) |
