How to Navigate the CNVS Website

The Catholic Network of Volunteers (CNVS) is an organization whose main goal is to help connect volunteer programs with potential volunteers. They offer the volunteer programs support, and one of those ways is to support future, current and former volunteers with a variety of valuable resources. Below are just some of the services CNVS can offer. For much more, go to their website at www.cnvs.org.

  • Volunteer profile: You can create a volunteer profile, stating your areas of interests, searchable by potential volunteer programs. This is a great option if you are unsure of your specific areas of interest and would like to be contacted by well fitting programs.
  • Response Directory (program search engine): This search engine offers a comprehensive listing of over 200 programs found in all 50 states and over 100 countries. You can search by location, job, length of service, benefits (ie Americorps funding, health insurance), living arrangement, and more.
  • “My PDF”: This function can help you organize your searches electronically. Click on the icon during your searches at anytime to add to this application.
  • Response directory, hard copy: This hard copy listing of all the programs includes lists of programs by location, jobs, length of service, etc. It can be a useful tool for research, supplementing the online version. You can gert a free copy at the Center for Community Service and Justice, or request one through the CNVS Website.
