Each year, a line of white crosses on the Quad stands in memory of the martyrs of Central and South America. In this way, Loyola University honors those who have been killed because they stood up for the rights of those who are voiceless and because they made an option for the poor. This reflective tribute will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the assassination of the Jesuit Martyrs, their housekeeper and her daughter.
Location: McGuire Hall
Date/Time: 11/18/2009 4:00 PM - 11/18/2009 8:00 PM
CCSJ offers two international immersion programs, Project Mexico and Encounter El Salvador. Each program has its unique history and mission and they rooted in the mission and core values of a Jesuit University. To fund these two meaningful programs, every year an Auction will be held around November. The first Auction was held in 1991 and it since developed into an ambitious fundraising program that now grosses somewhere between $15,000-$20,000 in proceeds, with over 250 auction items.
