Camp St. Ambrose Since 2000, the Center for Community Service and Justice at Loyola College has hosted Camp St. Ambrose. Coordinated by St.Ambrose Center, a multi-service community center in the Southern Park Heights community of Baltimore City, the six week summer camp offers a lively educational environment for about 70 children. Camp participants spend most of their time working on crafts and learning activities, learning more about technology through the help of Technology Services volunteers, and swimming and dancing at the FAC. Each Friday, the campers participate in field trips to various cultural sites throughout the Baltimore and Washington, DC area. During the summer of 2008, some researchers from the Loyola Clinical Centers worked with some of the youth on social skills. To learn more about their study, click here (MS Word document). Each summer, the campers will set aside a day to say "thank you" to Loyola for hosting the camp. Below is a video clip of "Thank You Loyola" song that composed by the campers and presented during the "thank you celebration" held in mid-July.
