Hunger and Homelessness Awareness
Fast and Sleep Out

It is our social responsibility not only as human beings, but also as members of a Jesuit University, to be aware of what our brothers and sisters are going through every day.  Therefore, the Center for Community Service and Justice (CCSJ) invites any student, faculty, staff or administrator who is interested in learning more about the world around them and who wants to gain a more global perspective to join us for this year's Fast and Sleep Out.  The goal of this event is to create solidarity with those who are hungry and homeless by fasting for 24 hours and sleeping out on the Quad.

Time Schedule for 2009

  • Fasting will begin after lunch:  Friday, April 3, 2009
  • Breaking of the bread together for lunch: Saturday, April 4, 2009
  • Sleep out: 5:30 PM on Friday, April 3, 2009 until 12 noon on Saturday, April 4, 2009

Fee: Free.

RSVP: Email Erin Timmeny or Margarita Dubocq.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact Margarita Dubocq, or you may call her at 410-617-5352.
