Map of Technology Services Strategic Plan 2009-2013

  • In order to connect the University Strategic Plan, Grounded in Tradition, Educating for the Future to the Technology Strategic Plan, we developed a map that links our work to the strategic goals of Loyola. The top row in the map depicts the five over-arching goals Loyola has established for the coming five years. We believe technology has a role to play in meeting these goals and have provided examples to illustrate the enabling effect that we envision. These IT implications are where we will contribute our talent and resources.

Ongoing IT Programs are the daily activities of our department that keep Loyola’s computing environment running. Most of these activities are unseen to the average person on campus, however are vitally important to the mission of Loyola.

The Technology Strategic Plan identified 4 Focus Areas that provide guidance for us as we work for and with others.

In order to meet the goals and objectives of the plans, a project management methodology was developed that provides a framework for project portfolio management, where each year we are enhancing the capabilities of the institution through technology solutions.
