Maru Martial Arts~Loyola Jujitsu Club


Are you looking for something exciting to do on campus? Are you a practicing martial artist? Do you have an interest in Asian culture? Would you like to be fit? If so Maru Martial Art has much to offer you!  Meeting times are:

  Wednesdays  7:45pm-9:45pm            in the FAC, group exercise room

  Thursdays      9:30pm-11:00pm         in the FAC, group exercise room

Saturdays      12:00pm-3:00pm          in Hopkins Court Lounge

The American Ju-Jitsu Association is the only Ju-Jitsu organization officially classified by the US Government as an amateur athletic association.

Students can eventually learn to use martial arts weapons such as the jo staff, broadsword, nunchaku, and other weapons. As a member of the Ju-Jitsu Club you will notice your coordination, speed, flexibility, concentration, and patience all increase. Whether you are searching for traditional martial arts, a sport-like environment, or even a great workout, the benefits that Ju-Jitsu offers in terms of personal development are countless. Instructors from Maru Martial Arts teach the class. This is a certified black belt course. Come to class, do the work, and you can graduate with a black belt and the training it reflects.
