WLOY Radio Raises Donations for Haiti Relief
WLOY is so much more than a college radio station. Its latest service project under WLOY Operations Manager John Devecka is fundraising for relief of Haiti earthquake victims. Loyolans have donated more than $10,000 to WLOY's fund in support of Catholic Relief Services' Haiti earthquate relief efforts, which will be doubled by a matching grant from the Aber D. Frank Sesno to give 2010 Caulfield Lecture
Emmy Award-winning journalist and professor Frank Sesno, former CNN Washington correspondent and bureau chief, will speak in McGuire Hall on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Sesno's topic is "Will We Lose the News?:  Learning to Tell Stories in a New Way."
Free and open to the public.

The Pound is the Dept. of Communication's student-run website that highlights student works, community events and activities for the Loyola Community. Loyola Communication professors Elliot King, Russell Cook, and Mitchell Tropin have authored a new textbook customized for CM203:  Currents in Communi-cation: Textbook, Reader, Notebook, Kendall Hunt Publishers 2010. Five sections of CM203 are offered in Fall 2010.
