All students must take at least one mathematics or statistics course to fulfill Loyola's core curriculum requriement. The type and level of the math course that students' take is often determined by the student's choice of major. Loyola uses an internal placement exam to ensure that students are placed into mathematic courses appropriate to their level of competency. This placement exam should be completed remotely by June 7, 2013 so that students can register, if appropriate, for a mathematical science course during registration at summer orientation.
Instructions for accessing and taking the math placement test can be found online.
