Electives

All majors allow for a series of free electives that can be taken in any department. Free electives enable students to study subjects just for the joy of doing so and also provide an opportunity for students to try something new. The number of free electives available to students varies across majors. 

Many students use electives to satisfy the requirements for a minor.
