At Loyola, we take great pride in how parents are involved in the success of our students. Over the last eleven years, more than half of Loyola parents have made a gift to the University. More than 60 percent of parents made a gift for the past five years.
By supporting the Annual Fund you are:
- Enhancing your own child’s experience;
- Investing in the value of every Loyola degree;
- Providing an important vote of endorsement for Loyola; and
- Increasing Loyola's parent participation rate - a national benchmark for other colleges and universities.
Why Contribute?
Tuition covers roughly 75 percent of a Loyola education. Funds from other resources such as gifts from parents, alumni and friends, and endowment income account for the remainder of the actual cost to educate each student. A significant part of the Annual Fund, the Annual Fund provides critical resources for the educational initiatives that tuition alone does not cover, including curriculum development, technology upgrades and library resources.
Does My Gift Truly Make a Difference?
Yes! An important component of Loyola’s Jesuit Catholic mission is to inspire students to learn, lead, and serve in a diverse and changing world. A gift to Loyola not only serves as a vote of confidence in Loyola’s ability to succeed in this mission, but also illustrates satisfaction to corporations and foundations. These organizations consider participation as an indication of active support for Loyola University Maryland and our mission when considering their own giving to the University.
