I am blessed to be a part of the Jamaican Experience ‘15 Team! Christ spoke clearly to me when I was discerning this miraculous opportunity. I understood that my empathy is the foundation of my openheartedness. My faith is the foundation of my unconditional love to all. And my Christ is the foundation to my presence on this earth. Jamaica may be known for its beautiful waters and sunny skies, but in reality it is an oppressed, third world country that needs our support; support which will be given through the service of our hands and the love of our hearts. Our team will be traveling to and serving in Jamaica from January 5-11, 2015.
I hope to share my energy and love with each individual I encounter on this trip. I hope to build friendships through solidarity and see a glimpse of heaven in each hopeful eye that meets mine. I look forward to joining together in faith and I hope to return with a new perspective on life, family, and love. Also, I hope to bring back their stories with me to share because their voices deserve to be heard. So, please join the JE ‘15 Team and myself as we embark on this beautiful journey down to Jamaica. Any contribution is truly appreciated and your gracious hearts are a sincere blessing to us as well as the people of Mandeville, Jamaica.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said, "Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work."
