Encounter El Salvador

For almost twenty years, CCSJ has partnered with CRISPAZ for a faith-based immersion experience where participants learn from Salvadoran people about their lives, histories and hopes for the future. A major focus of the encounter is to reflect on the meaning of working for justice rather than working for charity, understanding one's role as a global citizen and humanizing the different issues that are present in our societies.  More to come, check back soon!

Haiti Together

Haiti Together is a new service immersion program offering participants the chance to learn about Haiti through on-campus meetings in the fall/spring semesters followed by a week-long immersion trip over spring break. As a member of a small, cohesive team, participants will learn about the history and culture of Haiti, then travel to the country as guests of the Foyer, an orphanage located outside Port-au-Prince. While there, team members will interact with the children, helping with lessons and activities, but mainly being present to support the successful functioning of the Foyer and to learn through interactions with the children and staff.
