Other Requirements

  • Rising sophomore, junior or senior
  • GPA in good academic standing (2.5 GPA or higher)
  • Service Coordinators should not hold additional employment during the contract period. All other outside commitments should not exceed 12 hours per week.
  • CCSJ Student Staff are not permitted to simultaneously hold the following leadership positions on campus: Evergreen, Resident Assistant, Campus Ministry Intern, member of the SGA executive board, full-time student teaching, or any other position that conflicts with the two-week training in August.
  • All student staff are expected to attend and participate fully in a two-week staff training in August and a one-day training in January prior to the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
  • Student staff members must personally abide by all of the policies and regulations of Loyola’s Code of Student Conduct, as well as those of federal and local jurisdictions. A judicial review will be conducted for all applicants.
  • Service Coordinators are responsible for arranging transportation to and from the service site for themselves and volunteers. In addition, some job responsibilities require transportation for other tasks. If a Service Coordinator does not have a driver’s license, he/she must be able to arrange transportation in order to fulfill job responsibilities.
