Louise began her career in higher education information technology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where over a period of ten years she became progressively more responsible for technology service delivery across the enterprise, including the University, medical institutions and applied physics lab. She served as the university liaison for Internet2 middleware services and consolidated many locally owned and supported services into enterprise caliber offerings including email/calendar, directory, sharable personal file storage and the creation of a unique JH ID for single sign on to institutional systems. She participated in technology governance across the institutions, working on technology standards, risk management and communication strategies.
She then spent the next five years as a senior technology management consultant for several colleges as CTO, CIO, and Program/Project Manager while working for CampusWorks Inc., Sarasota, Florida.
Louise joined Loyola University Maryland in July 2007, as the Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President of Technology Services and has successfully adopted a paperless university strategy that addresses sustainability, cost cutting measures and the creation of business process efficiencies. Through her leadership, she has developed a highly successful project management office which has worked off the multiple year project back log, resulting in a more responsive approach to working with university leadership on strategic goals and objectives that leverage technology.
She is currently serving on the Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) Board, the Ellucian Customer Advisory Board, the Adobe Education Advisory Board, and the Caroline Center.
Louise is the recipient of the 2012 Smart CIO/CTO Award from Smart CEO magazine in Baltimore, MD.
