It is the policy and practice of Loyola to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended, and state and local requirements regarding students with disabilities. The office of disability support services strives to respond to student requests and concerns promptly and reasonably.

If you are a Loyola student and you believe you have been discriminated against on the basis of disability, you have the right to file a complaint according to Loyola’s Harassment and Discrimination Policy and Procedures. This includes situations where you believe you have been denied a reasonable accommodation.

Loyola’s Harassment and Discrimination Policy and Procedures are listed in Section H of the Community Standards Handbook.

You will note that Loyola’s policy encourages informal resolution of complaints when possible. The DSS office encourages students to meet with a member of our staff if students believe they are being discriminated against on the basis of disability or have concerns about the actions of a DSS office employee, a professor, or other Loyola employee or student.
