Bill Calculator

The Bill Calculator is a valuable tool for students and families to estimate their out-of-pocket costs before student bills are available. Out of-pocket-costs are based on direct charges also referred to as billable charges, tuition, room, and board (meal plan). To best use this tool, please login to the student self-service portal to access your financial aid package available from the My Awards tab.

We estimate your total cost of attendance will include allowances for books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. These indirect charges are additional costs you may incur but are not charged directly by the University. They will vary based on your unique circumstances and spending habits.

Meal Plan Information

See brief descriptions, costs, and class year requirements for meal plans. Detailed descriptions of the meal plans are available on the dining website.

The minimum meal plan requirement for first-year students is Plan 14 (14 meals per week & 200 Meal Points). The bill calculator below defaults to Plan 14. You can use the drop-down menu to select a different meal plan option based on your class year meal plan requirements and your meal preferences.

Insurance Fee Information

Please note: Health Insurance costs for the 2024-25 academic year are not determined until 5/1/2024. Until then, figures reflected in the bill calculator are based on the Health Insurance costs for the 2023-24 academic year.

To ensure students’ physical and financial health, Loyola requires all full-time undergraduate students to have health insurance while enrolled at the university. Students are required to enroll in the Loyola-sponsored Student Health Insurance plan or submit an online request to waive coverage. Incoming first-year and transfer students will be notified when they can officially opt in or out of coverage. Learn more about Loyola’s health insurance policy
