Loyola graduate students are invited to present their research in the form of a poster session at “Emerging Scholars: A Celebration of Graduate Research.” The sixth annual event will be on Friday, April 24, 2015.
A poster session will provide presenters a forum to informally present their work to the Loyola community in the context of a wine and cheese reception and awards ceremony (see an example of a very large-scale poster session). The Ferguson Gallery will provide a perfect setting to allow attendees to view presenters' posters, ask questions, and discuss ideas.
Presenters will be provided large, 8’ x 4’ bulletin boards for posting their research. Up to two presenters (or groups of presenters) will share space on each side of the board. The University will pay for professional printing of accepted presentations, up to 42” x 42” in dimension, for the Emerging Scholars event. Learn more about this printing offer.
Poster sessions may be based on research conducted for a paper, capstone project, thesis or dissertation, or case study. Research may be in various stages of completion, and may come from any discipline. See some tips and guidelines on how to best present your research.
Applicants to present at Emerging Scholars should complete this online form.
