1. How does this kind of paint class work?
It's a relaxed, fun, group setting. Each person will have their own canvas, easel, brushes, apron and paint. An artist from the Painted Palette will guide everyone step by step through replicating the featured canvas. This class is great for everyone, even those with no painting experience! At the end, you will take home your very own masterpiece. Students and guests are also allowed to bring their own beverage to this event. There will be music, snacks and plenty of time to socialize and enjoy your drinks throughout!

2. How much is it to register?
There is a $10 non-refundable fee per person to register. This applies to both students and guests.
For this event you are allowed (but not required) to bring your own beverage –alcoholic or non-alcoholic. To comply with Loyola’s liquor license policy, all alcoholic beverages will be kept at the bar area to be poured by our bartender. We will have cups and ice, however for those of you bringing wine, please feel free to bring your own wine glasses if you'd prefer.
4. What is the age group?
Students and guests must be 21 or older to attend due to the B.Y.O.B. component of this event.
5. What does the registration fee for this event include?
The $10 registration includes canvases, paint, brushes, easels, and aprons, plus all the entertainment you can handle for 2 hours!
6. What if I’m not artistic?
You don’t need to be! This instructor will walk everyone through the class step by step. It is designed even for those who have absolutely no painting experience.
7. Can I bring guests who are not Loyola students to this event?
Absolutely! Guests are always welcomed! The cost is the same for both guests and students: $10. Be sure to register your guest through our site as we cannot accept any walk-ins. Please register here.
8. Can I pay at the door?
Unfortunately, you cannot pay at the door. The final head count needs be given 24 hours before the event to ensure that the instructor has all the supplies prepared and ready. Only students/guests who have registered and paid the $10 will be admitted to the event. Keep in mind that our registration site will close by Noon on Thursday, February 4th.
9. Can I get there early?
We encourage that students arrive about 15 minutes early to settle in and pick their preferred seating. However, we ask that students do not arrive earlier than that as the Painted Palette Instructor needs time to set up.
10. Can I arrive late to this event?
The instructor will begin the class at 7 p.m. For those who arrive late, you may still attend; however, the class will continue through the lesson.
11. Where can I park?
Students/guests can park along Millbrook Ave (intersecting E.Cold Spring Lane) or along E.Cold Spring Lane. You can park for free at the Butler lot located near the Loyola-Notre Dame Library (drive up Millbrook ave. and you will pass the library and enter the lot). You can also park in the Jenkins lot for free on Fridays after 6:30 p.m. (located on E. Cold Spring Lane). You can refer to the university map for directions to these lots and to see a campus map.
12. Where is the third floor reading room?
When you enter the Andrew White Student Center walk toward the Boulder dining hall and University book store where you will see an elevator and staircase. (If you are facing the student center with your back to Cold Spring Lane, you want to walk to the far right end of the building). Take the elevator/staircase to the 3rd floor and the event will be directly to your right.
13. What do I wear?
The Painted Palette will provide aprons, but they recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on- just in case!
14. Will there be giveaways?
Of course! We have some awesome new GSO giveaways for you guys this semester!
15. If I cannot make it to the event, will I be refunded?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund if you have already paid and are unable to attend. The GSO is subsidizing the majority of the cost for each person, and must pay for each student in advance, and cannot receive a refund from the vendor.
