The following information has been assembled to help with common questions regarding the My Team Sites Web part and related functionality within Inside Loyola. What are team sites?

Team sites provide departments, groups, or organizations in the Loyola community with an online area for internal collaboration. Each team site is only accessible by people who have been granted access, allowing for a more secure environment to share information and files that should not—for one reason or another—be readily available to the public. From meeting notes to vacation calendars, task management to department discussions, each group can utilize this feature as it makes most sense for them.

I do not belong to the team listed. / I don't see a site listed for my team.

If you do not see the appropriate team sites listed it might be due to old information remaining in the system. Please report all cases to the office of technology support (ext. 5555 or ots@loyola.edu).

For launch, all academic and administrative departments should have a team site listed. Other committees and groups will be created by request. If you already have a SharePoint site for your team that you would like migrated to Inside Loyola, please contact the office of technology support (ext. 5555 or ots@loyola.edu).

The name of my team site is wrong, or doesn't reflect recent organizational changes.

If there is an inaccuracy in your team site listing, it might be due to old information remaining in the system. Please report all cases to the office of technology support (ext. 5555 or ots@loyola.edu).

How can I find out who else has access to a team site?

To see who else is able to access a particular site, enter that site and click on the Roster link in the left-side navigation. This will show you a list of every member of that site.

How can I get a new team site created?

If you are part of a group at Loyola that could benefit from a team site, contact the office of technology support (ext. 5555 or ots@loyola.edu). They will gather basic information, such as the preferred listing name - and you will then receive follow-up contact from members of the Inside Loyola management team to determine additional details including roster and desired Web parts.
