Creative Services

The office of creative services provides design services for Loyola-sponsored programs and events, as well as maintains the University’s overall graphic identity.

Our services include: 

  • Stationery services such as business cards, letters and envelopes. To order business cards and stationery, please visit Loyola Storefront.
  • Design services including advertising, brochures, invitations, posters, digital publications, displays, and banners. To start a design project, submit a project request.

*While Loyola has established unique logos/brands for its athletics programs and a number of key centers, the University’s general practice is not to create specific logos/brands for individual academic or administrative departments. This practice allows us to maintain the integrity and consistency of Loyola’s brand identity. Please contact us if you have general questions regarding the development of an awareness campaign for your office.

A flat fee of $40 per job is charged for all creative service project items (i.e. poster, postcard, ad, etc.) to cover design and consultation time. Additional costs incurred during the creation of a project are passed along to the client without mark-up. These expenses could include illustration or photography, printing and delivery charges. Graduate Marketing

The office of graduate marketing and recruitment works in collaboration with the office of graduate admission and academic departments to plan, execute, assess, and continuously improve the marketing and recruitment strategies for all graduate programs in Loyola College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education.

Our services include:

  • Building annual marketing plans that include media buys of both traditional and digital paid advertising, direct outreach (email campaigns, postcard mailings), and event recruitment activities, in concert with our marketing and communications colleagues and academic partners.
  • Developing and executing a digital strategy for graduate programs, which includes content creation and visual designs that engage target audiences through automated emails, Web page content, and other digital properties.
  • Creating comprehensive social media plans that include training for how to launch and maintain active social media communities.
  • Planning, executing, and measuring the effectiveness of an array of events including virtual and live information sessions, gatherings as part of larger University events (e.g., a reception for prospects at the Hanway Lecture Series in Global Studies), as well as strategizing to build strong yield (accepted to enrolled) events and results.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of marketing plan activities by collecting and tracking data on how our prospective students and applicants hear about us, where they go on our website, which advertisements they respond to or see in market, etc.

Institutional Communications

Loyola University Maryland is full of stories just waiting to be told. Institutional communications finds those stories and tells them in a number of ways, sharing them with internal and external audiences, reaching both members of the Loyola family and those who have yet to discover our Jesuit, Catholic university in Baltimore.

Our services include:

  • Media relations, including news releases, pitching of stories, events, and faculty experts
  • Social media representing the entire University; social media consulting for the University community
  • Campus communications, including letters, emails, and the parents e-newsletter
  • Crisis communications
  • Publication of stories in Loyola magazine in print and online
  • Student blogs and the Everyday Loyola Project
  • Maintenance of the University Style Guide
  • Copywriting and proofreading of written materials, both for print and online
  • Script writing/speech writing
  • Media training

Web Communications

The office of Web communications provides the Loyola community leadership, guidance, and assistance in using the web for internal and external communication while ensuring unity and cohesion to the existing site. 

Our services include: 

  • Website edits, creating a new website, redesigning your website, for any Loyola department, program, or event. Submit a request.
  • Promoting events or services on the web including through LoyolaToday (internal Loyola events, announcements, photos, and accomplishments by Loyola faculty, administrators, and staff), external events calendar (internal or external Loyola events), among others. Find ways to promote your event or service.
  • Email services including sending an email to an extremely large group of people (such as all faculty) and creating an email template. To send a mass email, complete our request form. For assistance with creating an email template, complete our project request form
