This year's seminar on Ignatian Pedagogy will be held on May 25-27 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). The morning sessions are 9-12 and the afternoon sessions are 1-2:30. Seminar members will inquire into the history of Jesuit pedagogy, discuss interdisciplinary theory, and develop new ways of expanding our student’s learning.
The seminar will be joined by Fr. John Savard, S.J., Rector of Ignatius House, and Dr. Carolyn Medine, Associate Professor of Religion and Literature at the University of Georgia. Dr. Arthur M. Sutherland, Dean of the Class of 2020 and Associate Professor of Theology, is the seminar’s director.
The deadline for applying is March 31st, 2017. Applicants will be notified by April 15th. All full time tenure and tenure track professors are eligible. Participants must be able to attend all day, each day and will receive a $500.00 stipend after submitting an annotated syllabus on the course of their choice that incorporates aspects of the seminar discussion.
