Department Chairs Statement

The Chair has reviewed the attached proposal and agrees that the submitted project is worthwhile, that it is consistent with the instructional program at Loyola University Maryland and that the applicant is qualified to conduct it. The person listed below will be contacted by Julie Ryder, Assistant Director in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), to confirm that he/she understands that a successful applicant will receive a course release which must be taken during the spring semester following application, and agrees that the department can accommodate this course release. (Note: In the event that the applicant is the department chair, the faculty member in the department who is designated to sign for the chair in his/her absence should review the proposal.)
