Applying for Graduation

Students who expect to complete a certificate of advanced study or graduate from a degree program in the month/year listed below must submit an Application for Graduation and fee of $150 to the Records Office (MH 141), as follows:

September 2014: May 29, 2014

January 2015: September 3, 2014

May 2015: January 12, 2015

The application fee does not include the cost of the cap and gown. Students will receive graduation fair and cap/gown ordering information from the Ceremonies Office. Formal commencement exercises are held once a year in May. Anyone who has completed all degree requirements is eligible to participate.

If an application was submitted in anticipation of completion of requirements in a past semester, students must file another application but will not be required to pay another fee. Failure to apply for graduation by the deadline will delay graduation until the next semester.

To obtain an Application for Graduation:

  1. Go to inside.loyola.edu and login, then click WebAdvisor for Students > Registration > Graduate Registration under WebAdvisor.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Demographic Information screen, and click the Anticipated Graduation Date dropdown menu.

  3. Select your graduation date, then click Submit. The application will be mailed to your home address within two weeks.

    If your graduation date is not listed in the dropdown menu, click Cancel. Contact the Records Office (410-617-2504) to request an application.

  4. The second screen verifies the accuracy of your social security number. After the initial verification of this information, this screen will not appear again. Only the last four digits of your social security number will appear on the first screen.
