Applying for Graduation

Application Dates

Full and part-time students graduating in the month/year listed below must submit an Application for Graduation to the Records Office (MH 141), as follows:

May 2014: September 20, 2013 (full-time students)

May 2014: January 13, 2014 (part-time students)

September 2014: May 29, 2014

January 2015: September 2, 2014

May 2015: September 19, 2014 (full-time students)

May 2015: January 12, 2015 (part-time students)

Part-time students must submit the $150 application fee with the application. Full-time students pay this fee along with their fall tuition. (Note: The application fee does not include the cost of the cap and gown.)

Application Process

Students must submit an Application for Graduation in order to graduate and participate in May Commencement. The application form is available at the Records Office (MH 141), or call 410-617-2708 to have a form mailed to you. Students who file an application for a specific semester and do not complete the graduation requirement must submit a new application; however no additional fee is required.

Complete the application, as follows:

  1. Student Information: Complete the top portion of the form, supplying your ID or SS#; e-mail address; last name, first name, and middle initial; home address, city, state, and zip code; and cell phone number.

  2. Payment Information: Check the appropriate Status and Payment boxes. Fill in the Amount, if applicable.

  3. Diploma Information:

    -Important: In the first box, print your name exactly as you want it to appear on your diploma.

    -Important: In the second box, print your name exactly as you want it pronounced at Commencement.

    -Check the appropriate Anticipated Degree box.

    -Fill in your Major; fill in your Concentration/Specialization and Minor, if applicable.

    -Fill in the appropriate Anticipated Degree Date: 09/14, 01/15, 05/15.

    -Check whether you will attend the Commencement Exercises and Baccalaureate Mass.

  4. Sign and date the form.

  5. Submit the completed form to the Records Office by the due date.

Cap and Gown

Students will receive graduation fair and cap/gown ordering information from the Ceremonies Office. (Reminder: The graduation application fee does not include the the cost of the cap and gown.)
