Assistant Director of Recreational Sports

Meagan Stachurski joined the Department of Recreational Sports staff in May 2013. Meagan manages the Mangione Aquatic Center which includes the pool, spa, and sauna. Her favorite part of the job is supervising the lifeguards.
Meagan is a Loyola alumna who graduated in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, specializing in Advertising and Public Relations. While at Loyola University Maryland, Meagan worked as an intramural official and intramural supervisor. Meagan moved to Savannah, Georgia after graduating from Loyola to continue her education at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She worked as a Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs in the Recreation and Wellness Department. There she received her master’s degree in Adult Education and Community Leadership and a certificate in Instructional Technology. She also participated in intramural sports and was a member and Chair of the Graduate Student Coordinating Council.
Meagan was born in Baltimore, MD, but grew up on Long Island, NY. In Meagan’s free time she enjoys playing and watching sports, singing, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.
