Assistant Director of Recreational Sports
(Club Sports and Intramurals)

Kate Sirc joined the department of recreational sports staff in February 2011 as the assistant director of recreational sports, club sports and intramurals. Kate hires, trains, and mentors student leaders in managing and executing both the Club Sports Program (23 clubs) and the Intramural Program.

Originally from Ellicott City, Md., Kate graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. While at St. Mary’s, she was a proud member of the Seahawks varsity lacrosse team and made four NCAA tournament appearances. Kate was selected as a 1st Team All-Conference Attacker twice in her career and was also named a 1st Team Regional All-American.

Kate went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from St. Lawrence University in 2006. While at SLU, she worked as a graduate assistant for the athletics and campus recreation department. In addition to serving as the assistant coach for the varsity women’s lacrosse team, Kate assisted with the administration of the intramural program, varsity game management, and assisted in various capacities in the fitness center and equipment room. Before coming to Loyola, Kate spent four years as a development officer for US Lacrosse, the national governing body for the sport.

Kate is a local rated girl's lacrosse and field hockey umpire with the Baltimore Board of Officials for Women's Sports, and officiates youth and high school games in the Baltimore city metro area.  In her free time, Kate enjoys cooking, playing squash, Ravens football, and hanging out with her husband Chris and adopted dog Kibble.
