Caitlin Allender
Program Assistant Loyola University Maryland

Caitlin Allender will complete her MSF from Loyola University Maryland in December 2016.  She also holds a BA in Classics, from Loyola University Maryland, where she was a Presidential Scholar and worked on two published Latin translations as an undergraduate.  She has worked in several roles at her alma mater and is currently employed as the Program Assistant to the Fine Arts Department.

Matthew Brancheau

Matthew Brancheau is a graduate student pursuing a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University Maryland.  In addition to his graduate studies, he has also earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition and a Bachelor of Music in Recording Arts and Sciences from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University.  Matthew is employed by Loyola University Maryland where he works as a Programmer/Analyst Business Intelligence in the Enterprise Applications Department providing enterprise business intelligence solutions and data analysis for the university.

Michael Calafos
Police Officer Montgomery County Police Department

Michael Calafos is a graduate student pursuing a MSF from Loyola University Maryland and will graduate this September from the program.  He has also earned a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a BS in Criminal Justice from Pensacola Christian College.  He is a member of Theta Sigma Gamma Academic Honor Society and the Beta Pi Chapter of Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society.  He was recently admitted into the Loyola Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma.  Currently, Michael is a 22 year veteran of the Montgomery County Police Department serving on a midnight patrol shift in the Germantown District.  He has been awarded two departmental lifesaving awards and a sniper investigation award during his career.  Upon retirement from the police force, he plans on pursuing a finance career in the financial technology field.

Armon Emdad

Associate
D.A. Davidson & Company

Armon Emdad is a graduate student currently pursuing a MSF at the Sellinger School of Business.  Professionally, he is an Associate in the Real Estate Investment Banking practice at D.A. Davidson & Co.  Armon joined Davidson’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group in September 2014.  Previously, he was an analyst with Royal Bank of Scotland (“RBS”) focusing on mortgage-backed securities valuation and pricing.  Prior to RBS, he was a financial analyst with Fannie Mae.  He graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland with a double major in Finance and Operations Management.  He holds FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 securities licenses.  He is also on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Home and a member of the Finance Committee.

Thomas Glenn

Thomas Glenn is a graduate student pursuing a MSF from Loyola University Maryland, set to graduate in December 2016.  He has a BA in Economics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  A former professional swimmer, Thom now works as a Business Development Analyst for Lifebridge Health, a non-profit, Baltimore-based regional healthcare system.

Peter “Joey” Martin

Joey Martinis a graduate student pursuing a MSF from Loyola University Maryland.  In addition to his graduate studies, he earned a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.  Joey has spent the last four years working for T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, MD.  His background includes experience in securities valuation and investment compliance, primarily focused on equities.  He is currently working within the Legal Department at T. Rowe as an Investment Compliance Analyst on the Equity Monitoring team.

Christian Ventimiglia
Analyst Brown Advisory

Christian Ventimiglia is a graduate student at Loyola University, pursuing a MBA with a concentration in Finance.  He is currently employed as a portfolio and equity strategy analyst for Brown Advisory, located in Baltimore, MD, and is responsible for the modeling, monitoring, and trading of institutional and private client assets.  Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2013, Christian worked as client service associate for JPMorgan Private Bank (FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses obtained) and graduated from Loyola University with a BBA in Finance in 2010.  He serves on the Board of Directors for Arts Everyday, is a member of the Baltimore Songwriter Association, and thoroughly enjoys playing blues music with his band in local Baltimore dive bars. 

Jonathan Weinman

The Toby and Melvin Weinman Foundation

Jonathan (Jon) Weinman is a retired Dental specialist and Dental educator.  After receiving his DDS and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics from the University of Maryland, Jon taught at the dental school for 10 years while also working in private practice.  In 2005, Jon transitioned from his 25 year career in dentistry to direct a family charitable foundation.  Finding his skill set lacking, he enrolled in the MBA program at Loyola.
