In an effort to provide a smooth and efficient check-in process and to prevent traffic and parking problems, we utilize a staggered check-in process for the residence halls. You will be expected to check-in to your assigned residence hall room during the designated time you will receive in the email with your housing assignment. You will not be permitted to move into your room prior to this designated time, unless you are part of an approved University pre-fall program. If you are participating in a University pre-fall program, you will receive information from the sponsoring office with more information about move-in.
As soon as you receive the email with your housing assignment, in early August, please review the check-in schedule and make all travel arrangements accordingly.

If you need to arrive later than noon on first year move-in day, please respond to the email with your housing assignment and provide information on when you will arrive.
The check-in process typically occurs in the following locations:
- Campion Garage - check in for Campion Towers
- Hopkins Lounge - Check in for Hopkins Court
- Flannery O'Connor First Floor Lobby - Check in for Flannery O'Connor
- In front of Butler and Hammerman- Check in for Butler and Hammerman Halls
Please remember to pay your tuition bill (Student Administrative Services: 410-617-5806) prior to move in and complete and return all information required from the Health Center (410-617-5055). Additionally you will be receiving information about the online education program Think About It. Please note that completion of this program is required before you are able to move into your residence hall.
