We are pleased to inform you that the student health insurance plan for the 2016-2017 academic year is being underwritten by United Healthcare Insurance Company. A brief overview of the plan benefits offered by United Healthcare Insurance Company will be available shortly.
*Please Note: Online enrollment and additional information regarding the Loyola-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan for the academic year 2016/2017 will be available in early June and can be found on www.firststudent.com.
Domestic and International Undergraduate and Graduate Students: In an effort to ensure students’ physical and financial health, Loyola University Maryland requires all full-time undergraduate students and all graduate students in full time programs to have health insurance during the 2016-17 academic year.
You are required to either enroll online in the Loyola-sponsored Student Health Insurance plan, or submit an online request to waive coverage. To waive coverage, your plan must have comparable coverage based on Loyola’s waiver criteria. Please review your current plan to be sure that your benefits extend to the Maryland area.
To enroll in or waive coverage, visit www.firststudent.com
The deadline date is August 30, 2016. If you do not make your insurance selection by this date you will be automatically enrolled in the Loyola-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan.
