Mathew joined the Student Life staff in the summer of 2013 and is from western Kansas. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas. After completing an internship in New Student Orientation at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX, Mathew moved to New England and earned a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. Prior to coming to Loyola, Mathew worked as a graduate student at the University of Vermont in the Department of Residential Life, the Center for Student Ethics & Standards, New Student Orientation, the Dean of Students Office, and the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Mathew’s professional interests include: student conduct administration, masculinities, social class identities, social justice, and enrollment management and finance. Personally, he enjoys playing the piano and trombone, finding new music, and relaxing with a good TV show or video game…unless the Jayhawks are playing – Rock Chalk!!
