IT Governance

Technology Governance at Loyola consists of multiple committees—each focused on the successful use of technologies that enable student success, sound business operations, and the meeting of compliance requirements, while keeping a watchful eye on emerging trends.

IT Governance

Committee  Meets  Chair  Members  Mission 
TSAC  Monthly during academic year CIO faculty, administrators, students, and staff Evaluate technology projects for fit with University strategic goals, return on investment and total cost of ownership • Monitor technology projects and advise on timing of implementations • Receive monthly updates from all subcommittees.
Admin CORE Monthly during academic year Director, Enterprise Applications administrators and staff representing business units Provide a forum for information sharing about the Colleague ERP system, reporting, web presence, and provide input into decisions being considered for all administrative systems.
Accessibility Task Force (ATF) Monthly during academic year Director, Disability Support Services and CIO faculty, administrators, students, and staff Examine the barriers that exist in the technology environment at Loyola; Plan and execute remediation strategies • Educate the university on accessible course materials, websites, and documents • Ensure new technologies meet ADA standards
• Work with LNDL to support the ATLab; Monitor overall progress toward our goals.
Academic Tech Committee (ATC) Monthly during academic year Faculty member(s) or CIO faculty, technology services administrators and staff Dual report to TSAC and Academic Senate • Advise and provide input on technology matters from a faculty perspective • Act as a conduit for information, perspectives, and initiatives about educational technology.
Data Stewards Monthly during academic year Director, Enterprise Applications administrators responsible for institutional data Business process review and improvement—especially as relates to the elimination of paper and document related workflows • Data integrity, protection, destruction, and retention standards • Identification and implementation of metrics to measure effectiveness of implemented policies and programs.
