Scheduled IT System Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance occurs Sunday mornings between 6:00 AM and noon, EST

Regular system maintenance and server restarts for any of our services are scheduled on Sunday mornings between 6:00 AM and noon. The Loyola community should be aware that a system may be unavailable during this scheduled maintenance period.  Additionally, some system changes may need to be performed out-of-scope during the rest of the week and will occur as needed in order to maintain the function of technology services at Loyola.  Technology Services takes great care in scheduling system changes that occur at off-peak times for our community so as to decrease any noticable interruption of service for Loyola.  This list is updated every Wednesday.

 Several services will be impacted at some point during this maintenance period by experiencing a brief outage.  Services affected include:

  • Site Executive – departmental websites on www.loyola.edu
  • Site Core – www.loyola.edu
  • ImageNow – Paperless Document Management
  • AIG – Docefill
  • Loyola Phone Directory
  • Starrez – Housing Management
  • Emma – Timekeeping
  • R25 – Events Calendar and Room Assignment
  • Symantec Vault – Email Archiving
  • Crestron Device Management – Classroom Management
  • Tuition Deposit Form Portal – Inside Loyola.edu

 

Anywhere Apps (More Software) will be unavailable from on- or off-campus due to scheduled maintenance. Messages will be sent to everyone connected prior to the outage to remind them to save their work and close out. All remaining open sessions and applications will be closed and any unsaved work will be lost

 

Windows updates installed on Blackboard Transact servers on Sunday, June 22, 2014 9:00AM – 1:00PM. Services impacted include:  point of sale, only cash and credit card sales accepted during this time.  Laundry services, vending machines will also be unavailable.

 Due to server upgrades, all access to the encrypted network "Houndnet FSA"will be unavailable during this time.

 

 

 

Facilities will be replacing the power outlets in Bellermine Hall to support a new UPS. This will require 30 minutes of network outage in the building.

  

We will be cutting over the library switch stacks to UPS on floors 1-3 of the library. Wired and wireless access will be unavailable during these times. We have been in direct contact with the library about these changes.   They will be performed while the library is closed.
