Who is eligible for a Loyola account?

Students

Student accounts are activated once their deposits are paid or waived. Undergraduate accounts are disabled when the student withdraws or 120 days post graduation. Graduate student resource access is disabled after three semesters without enrollment or 120 days post graduation. While active, students have access to the standard resources such as the portal, computer access, email, G and H drives, Moodle, and WebAdvisor. Alumni have access to email and WebAdvisor and former students (those who did not graduate and are not active) have access to WebAdvisor.

Faculty

Faculty accounts are provisioned once they are hired, completed the required HR paperwork, and have a start date within 21 days. Full-time faculty member accounts are disabled when their employment ends. Part-time faculty member accounts are disabled two years after teaching their last class. While active, faculty have access to the standard resources such as the portal, computer access, email, G and H drives, Moodle, and WebAdvisor.

Employees

Employee accounts are provisioned once they are hired, completed the required HR paperwork, and have a start date within 7 days. Employee accounts are disabled upon termination of employment. While active, employees have access to the standard resources such as the portal, computer access, email, G and H drives, Moodle, and WebAdvisor.

Friends

Friends accounts are provisioned once their sponsor completes the request for a friend account and the friend signs the confidentiality agreement. Friends accounts are disabled when their term of office ends without renewal or at the request of the sponsor. While active, friends have access to the portal (inside.loyola.edu).

What is my Loyola username?

A unique identifier assigned to each person at Loyola that normally contains elements of your name. New users at Loyola receive this information via their personal email account. The username is your Loyola email address without "@loyola.edu"

Passwords

Loyola passwords are known only by you, the account holder, and should never be shared with anyone. No one at Loyola, including technology services will ever ask for your password. Find out more information about Loyola passwords and resets.

What does my Loyola username provide access to?

Faculty, staff, and administrators are able to access:

  • G Drive (Personal Storage Space)
  • H Drive (Shared Storage Space)
  • WebAdvisor
  • Sharepoint
  • Inside Loyola
  • Citrix

Students are able to access:

What responsibilities do I have as a Loyola account owner?

Colleague Accounts

The databases that Loyola uses to conduct its official business processes. It is divided into six main applications: financial; student; CORE; two for programmers and advancement. To request access, your manager should email ots@loyola.edu requesting the creation of the account. They will need to include the name of another user (to use as an access model) and specific budget numbers that the new user will access.

Colleague Accounts for Non-Employees

Refer to the forms section of human resources. A manager may download the Non-Employee Account Request Form and follow the directions provided.

Data Standards for Colleague
