The Career Center offers all graduate students in the Sellinger School of Business a range of career resources designed to support and develop lifelong career management skills. Whether you are pursuing a new full-time job, looking to advance in your own field, or making a career change, The Career Center has services geared to facilitate the process.
Individualized Career Consulting
Students may set appointments with a graduate career consultant to receive one-on-one guidance for any career-related concern(s). Individual consultations range from resume critiques and interviewing skills, to job search strategies and career management. Work with a career consultant to determine your needs and desired outcomes.

Self-Assessment and Reflection
Personal career assessment resources are available to give students both the tools and the occasion for reflection to understand oneself more deeply and assess the goodness-of-fit with career paths and organizational settings. This insight is critical in evaluating opportunities, and making better career decisions.
Strong Interest Inventory (SII)
The SII is based on the idea that individuals are more satisfied and productive when they work in jobs that they find interesting and when they work with people who have similar interests. The SII takes about 25 minutes to complete and contains 317 items that measure your interests in a wide range of occupations, occupational activities, hobbies, leisure activities, and types of people. An appointment with a career consultant is required for access.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
One of the most popular personality assessments, this tool helps you realize your individual personality type and can help point you in some possible career directions. An appointment with a career consultant is required for access.
CareerOneStop Self Assessments
CareerOneStop is an online resource, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, that offers the following self assessments: interests, skills and work values.
Career Leader (Current graduate business students or graduate business alumni only)
Provides business career self-assessments that assist individuals in clarifying possible career path matches within the business field. Career Leader helps individuals assess their unique interests, values, and abilities relevant to the business setting.
Job Search Skills and Techniques
Working one-on-one with a career consultant can help you develop a job search strategy and career action plan to meet your goals. Resume Development and Critiques
Through individual appointments, career consultants can assist you in developing a resume that is clear and targeted to the position you are seeking. In addition, we provide resume and cover-letter critiques for job-seekers who wish to have an “extra set of eyes” view their correspondence before sending it to prospective employers. Learn how to put your best foot forward by practicing your interview techniques with a career consultant. ExecuNet is recognized as the Internet's most comprehensive resource for effective career management, exclusively for executives and senior-level managers with salaries above $150,000. Through ExecuNet, you can gain access to daily executive job postings, job serach and career advancement guidance and information, and monthly networking meeting opportunities. You can upload resumes and cover letters, publish resumes for employer viewing, select on-campus interview times (as part of the On-Campus Recruitment Program) and search for jobs, internships and employer contact information.
