Name
: Jean Gillingham
Class: 2016
Major/Minor: Writing/English

Preferred content areas: I enjoy working with textual analysis papers of any subject, creative or rhetorical essays and fiction/poetry.
Writing Center Experience: 1.5 years

I'm from
: Glen Burnie, Maryland
Favorite authors: Tamora Pierce. Also, Kristin Cashore, Veronica Roth, and lately Neal Shusterman.

Favorite place to read/write
: These differ. My favorite place to read is in a comfy chair--on campus, I like the new writing lounge or outside if the weather is nice. My favorite place to write is at a desk or a table, somewhere consistent day-to-day, usually at home.

Fun fact: I'm the Fiction Editor-in-Chief for Corridors, Loyola's literary magazine for fiction, non-fiction, artwork and photography, and I'm in the fourth-going-on-fifth draft of a novel that I started two summers ago. :)
