Fitness and Aquatics Center

As a Loyola student, you'll be strengthened in mind, body, and spirit. Get in shape in group exercise classes, test your skills on our 30-foot climbing wall, or make a splash in our pool. The Fitness and Aquatic Center (FAC) has something for you! Plan your next trip at the Outdoor Adventure Center. You can sign up for a group trip, rent equipment, or plan a team building experience.

On the Field

At Loyola, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a men's or women's lacrosse game and cheer on your fellow Greyhounds at Ridley Athletic Complex. Or, attend a basketball game at our state-of-the-art Reitz Arena. Loyola is a proud member of the Patriot League, fielding teams in seven men's and nine women's sports. Loyola's student athletes are also high achievers in the classroom, with a 95 percent graduation rate.

Explore “Charm City”

Loyola is located in Baltimore, an eclectic city with so much to see and do. Browse some of the quaint shops and enjoy a delicious variety of food—including steamed crabs! Discover a hidden gem in Little Italy, Hampden, or Greektown, and explore what the Inner Harbor has to offer. Take in a Ravens or Orioles game. Tour the aquarium, zoo, or science center. You’re sure to find something of interest and create lasting memories in the process.

Residence Life

Loyola’s residence halls are ranked as some of the best in the country, but it’s not just the amenities that make them so wonderful; it’s the connections and lifelong friendships that are formed within them. From our eco-friendly residence hall for first-year students, Flannery O’Connor Hall, to our apartment-style suites on the west side of campus, students can find a quiet spot for studying, relax with friends in a lounge, or pick up a late night snack at a nearby dining venue.

80 Scenic Acres

At the center of Loyola’s beautiful 80-acre campus is the academic Quad, which vibrantly comes to life each September as students arrive to begin a new academic year. On brisk fall mornings, you’ll often find students walking across campus to grab a coffee at Starbucks in the Student Center before heading to class. In the afternoon, you’ll find students lounging on the Humanities porch, studying quietly or chatting with friends.

Life at Loyola

Loyola is a very tight-knit community, in large part because of the vast opportunities to get involved and form lifelong friendships. With more than 100 clubs, countless community service opportunities, and numerous club sports, you’re sure to find something that piques your interest—along with others who share the same passions. Be sure to take advantage of our state-of-the-art Fitness & Aquatic Center, and then paint your face green and cheer on the Greyhounds at home games (we’re a proud member of the Patriot League). Explore the culturally rich and slightly quirky Baltimore to find out what makes us “charm city.” Or, just relax in the residence hall or grab a bite to eat with your peers while you enjoy many unexpected and memorable conversations. Your Loyola experience will be everything you imagine it to be—and more.
