Bio
Dr. Sny is currently a tenured faculty member in the department of education at Bowie State University where he has served as Coordinator and Supervisor of the graduate internship program in administration and supervision. His professional experiences in higher education include service as interim director of the doctoral program in education leadership at Bowie State as well as program developer and committee chair. Dr. Sny has also served as coordinator of doctoral programs in education leadership at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and coordinator of the graduate internship in education administration and supervision for Loyola College of Baltimore.

In addition, Dr. Sny's professional experiences include teaching in a large suburban Chicago area high school in Elgin, Illinois, Curriculum Coordinator and Director for Gifted Education in the Janesville Public Schools, Janesville, Wisconsin; Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in the suburban St. Louis, Missouri, Ferguson-Florissant School District and Deputy Superintendent in the Alexandria City Public Schools, Alexandria, Virginia.

His current professional interests are focused on educational leadership policy development. He was formerly an educational policy fellow at the Institute for Educational Leadership, Washington, D.C. and has made numerous presentations for professional organizations on policy development including the American Forum on International Education, The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and The National Academy for School Executives.

Following his experience as an internal strategic planning facilitator, Dr. Sny has presented a case study he developed on strategic planning to the National Academy of School Executives certification programs in a number of locations around the country and has served as a strategic planning consultant to school districts in Ohio, Tennessee, California, and Alaska. He is a graduate of the AASA-NASE National Superintendent's Academy, The National Superintendent's Conference, Columbia Teachers College, and The Harvard University Graduate School of Education program in professional education.

Dr. Sny has also recently served as an assessor for Educational Testing Service of Princeton, NJ, "School Leaders Licensure Assessment" examination.
