Developing Proficient Distinguished

Curriculum The project is useful in an educational context, but does not contain any curricular alignment.
The project is aligned with one or more curricular areas.
The project aligns with one or more curricular areas and documents the content and technology standards that will be met by the project. Objectives are clearly stated.

The project also describes how this fits into the larger context of the curriculum.

Planning
The project does not include a plan for your students.
The project describes elements of a plan but does not lay out enough detail to be ready to implement.
The project includes a complete plan for your students to complete the project including design requirements and checkpoints along the way.

Video Example
Your video includes 4 or fewer of the requirements mentioned in the Distinguished column.
Your video includes 5 of 6 of the requirements mentioned in the Distinguished column.
Your video:

is an example that meets the objectives of your lesson
is approximately three minutes in length
contains at least four distinct video segments
contains some transition effects
contains a title at the beginning and credits at the beginning or end
is saved as a QuickTime or AVI video

Technical Needs You do not discuss the technical needs of the project.

Each individual in your group has compared the technical needs of this project to your schools' technical capabilities and included a one-page letter to your school administration to outline what you need. If the equipment does not exist in your school, you will describe what equipment needs to be purchased. If the equipment does exist in your school, you will describe what your needs are for reserving the appropriate equipment.

Collaboration (optional)

You describe how you will collaborate with others in your school to complete this project. This might include the technology teacher, media specialist, and/or other subject-area teachers (for an interdisciplinary project).

Mechanics Contains many grammar, spelling, and/or usage errrors, or is clearly stretching to fill space. Contains a few grammar, spelling, and/or usage errors or is too long or too short, or does not have numbered pages. Contains correct grammar, spelling, and usage throughout and is 2-4 pages, with 12-point font, double-spaced, and numbered pages.
