Beatty 115 Laboratory Access

Many of you will choose to use the desktop computers in Beatty 115 to complete your assignments for this class. This computer laboratory is available to you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as long as the lab has not been reserved for another purpose (the lab may also be closed during some school vacations).

In order to access the lab, you will need your regular student ID card. This card can be obtained at the front office of the Timonium Campus  or Columbia Campus during the week from 8:30am - 10:00pm. You can also obtain this card at the main Baltimore campus in the Student Administrative Services office in Maryland Hall.

Although you have access to the lab with your ID, Beatty Hall (the building) is often locked. Your ID card might let you into the building (using the card reader on the quad side of the building). Alternatively, if and only if you have obtained an ID, Campus Police will let you into Beatty Hall at any time. If you have not obtained an ID they will not let you into the building. Upon arriving on campus, call Campus Police at x5311 to be let into the building.

If you are driving a long distance to get to campus, don't be surprised. Be sure you have an ID and call in advance. You might want to call Campus Police (410-617-5311) to be sure that they will let you in, and you might want to check the room schedule to make sure the room is not being used. During regular business hours, you can check the room schedule by calling Technology Services (410-617-5555).
