Many of you will choose to use the computer laboratory on the Timonium campus to complete your assignments for this class. This computer laboratory is available to you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as long as the lab has not been reserved for another purpose (the lab may also be closed during some school vacations). The computer lab is located in room 01.
In order to access the lab, you will need your regular student ID card (be sure you have one of the new ID cards issued in 2009 or later--you know you have a new card if it says "Loyola University Maryland" on it). This card can be obtained at the front office of the Timonium Campus during the week from 8:30am - 10:00pm. You can also obtain this card at the main Baltimore campus in the Student Administrative Services office in Maryland Hall as well as the front office of the Columbia Campus. For more information about obtaining this card at Timonium, call the Timonium Campus main number at 410-617-1500. This card can be used to access the main lab, the resource center, copying facilities, and vending facilities.
Also in Timonium is a Student Resource Center, which contains several computers, printers, and a copy machine. If the main lab is in use, you may use the computers in the Student Resource Center. This center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with card-key access as noted above.
Although the Timonium classrooms are only available during certain hours, the computer lab and Student Resource Center are available at all times, but you must have a card. This card can be held near the card reader outside the lab door to open the door.
If you are driving a long distance to get to campus, don't be surprised. Be sure you have a card and call in advance. You might want to call the Timonium Center (410-617-1500) to be sure that everything is operational.
