Final Exam
This is a skills-based class, and the Final Exam covers some
of the skills that you need to know. Some or all of the following
skills will be included on the Final Exam.
- Newsletters
- Use Word to create a simple newsletter
- Include some clip art
- Include some pictures from other sources, such as the web
- Include text using text boxes
- Include other simple drawn elements, such as lines and boxes
- Line up elements in an attractive way
- Web Pages
- Create a simple web page using a simple word processor (such as TextEdit or WordPad) and HTML codes
or FrontPage
- Correctly place the <HTML>, <HEAD>, and <BODY>
tags
- Put a title at the top of the page with the <TITLE>
tag
- Put a heading on the page with tags, such as <H1>
- Put paragraphs on the page with <P> tags
- Use <OL> and <UL> to create lists
- Use <TABLE> to create simple tables
- Use <IMG> to insert images
- Copy images from the web to be inserted with the <IMG>
tag
- Use <A HREF…> to create links to other web pages
- World Wide Web
- Spreadsheets
- Create a simple spreadsheet with data organized in columns
and rows
- Use simple functions, such as SUM and AVERAGE, to calculate the things like the sum and average
of a column
- Use simple operators (+, -, *, /) to make simple calculations,
such as multiplying two numbers together
- Create a simple bar graph using data from the spreadsheet with an appropriate title and the X and Y axes labeled
- PowerPoint
- Create a simple PowerPoint presentation
- Create hyperlinks from one slide to another and to the web
- Create buttons that link from one slide to another and to
the web
- Create title slides and bulleted list slides
- Insert pictures from clip art and from other sources, such
as the web
