Agenda: Class 6
ET605 Introduction to Educational Technology
David Marcovitz
- Announcements and Questions
- If I haven't looked at your PowerPoint activity, I will soon; feedback on request
- Articles 7 and 8 will be posted soon (if they have not been posted already)
- First Learning Activity is due in three classes
- Don’t forget that I am prepared to help you with anything you
need for this class. I can spend as long as you want talking about any
of the required technologies. Let me know what you need.
- Practice technology skills so you are prepared for final exam
- Questions
- Project Presentations
- Each group must present a project (one of the two learning activities you develop)
- Presentations are ungraded
- Presentations may either be brief descriptions of what you have
done (at least 20 minutes) or you may have the class participate in
part of your learning activity for about an hour
- The latter option will be more fun and interesting, but it will be harder to prepare
- Each member of your group must participate in the presentation in some way
- With five groups, two or three will present Class 9, and two or three groups Class 12
- Discuss this with your group and let me know (via email) your group’s preferences
- All email I receive by midnight tomorrow night will be treated
equally; after that, slots for presentation will be on a
first-come-first-served basis
- Tip: send email now if anyone will be absent on any presentation days

source code)

- See, for example, http://weebly.com/
(allows direct editing
of the theme and adding blocks of Custom HTML to page)
- Blogs and Wikis
- Create something at Weebly, WikiSpaces, or Blogger
- Find the custom HTML feature to add your own HTML code (even
something simple like a link or big heading)
- Go to http://pollcode.com/,
create a poll, and add it to your
site
- Group Work Time
- By the end (if not the beginning) of class, you should have a
clear idea of what you are doing for your first learning activity, and
clear idea of who is going to do what.
- Your second learning activity is due three classes after the first, so you should have a good idea of what you will do for that
- Create something useful
- Have fun!
