 Alternatives

Other First-Year Course Alternatives:

First-year students also have the option to enroll in a unique freshman seminar program, known as Alpha. This seminar, also taught by the student's Core advisor, is a 3-credit course that has a strong academic focus as well as a strong experiential learning component. Students should consider registering for an Alpha Seminar or FE 100. Students will be allowed to enroll in both Alpha and FE 100 only as space permits. In addition, students in the Honors Program will have opportunities for out-of-class cultural and social experiences that will introduce them to other students and to the city of Baltimore. Honors Program students do not enroll in either an Alpha or an FE 100 seminar.

Also, please check out a new Loyola initiative known as Collegium. This Living Learning project will house 72 first-year students on the same floor of Campion (formerly Guilford) Towers. Collegium students will enroll in two academic courses and FE 100 with other Collegium participants.
