Course Format

The course consists of 12 meetings, one per week for 75 minutes. Although course times are set aside during a weekday afternoon, 3 or 4 sessions will take place at other weekday or Saturday times.

The non-class times are set aside for various group activities, such as an opening cookout, an excursion into Baltimore for dinner and a cultural activity (e.g., play or museum), a community service experience (typically on a Saturday or a weekday afternoon), and outdoor group initiatives.

The other 8 meetings are devoted to such important topics as Jesuit education and Jesuit values; setting personal, educational, and career goals; leadership; stress, anxiety and time management; and issues such as diversity and service. The course ends prior to Thanksgiving break.
