The graduate programs in psychology at Loyola prepare individuals to become outstanding practitioners and scholars in the areas that fit their interests. Through the diversity of program offerings, you may select the option best suited to your professional goals from a compliment that includes the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, a highly regarded program accredited by the American Psychological Association. Also available is the Master of Science in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (both master's concentrations offer thesis and practitioner tracks). In addition to degree options, the graduate programs in psychology maintain a strong commitment to the continuing professional development of practitioners by offering a post-master's Certificate of Advanced Study and pre-licensure courses through the Master's Plus program designed for individuals preparing for the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) examination.

All degree, certificate and non-degree course options strive to provide flexibility and balance through a faculty committed to teaching, clinical practice, research and life-long learning. At the center of all of the graduate programs in psychology is a strong mentoring philosophy. Under the leadership of their faculty advisor, students received guidance and support in shaping their professional identity, in keeping with the trends in the mental health field.
