Loyola's graduate program in liberal studies offers extensive, enriching, and stimulating courses that emphasize the Jesuit tradition of engagement of the whole person. The liberal studies program encourages students to approach learning from many different angles so they can experience all of the passion and challenges of an intensive liberal arts graduate education. The liberal studies coursework is offered in small seminar-style evening classes, ensuring that your learning experience is flexible, collaborative, and - above all - intellectual.

Through the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, students examine American culture through interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary lenses. Loyola also offers a Master's Plus option for students who have already received a graduate degree, as well as non-degree coursework for those who wish to try the program before committing to the full degree. We understand that flexibility and convenience are critical to the success of any graduate or professional program, and a liberal studies graduate degree is structured to meet the needs of busy adults. We also allow students to begin in September, January, or June and offer classes on Loyola's Baltimore campus, as well as at the Graduate Centers in Timonium and Columbia.
