- Recipient will work approximately 20 hours per week each semester, or approximately 320 hours throughout the semester. Will rarely include some evening hours.
Remuneration: - $10,000 base before taxes- FICA taxes will apply (1/2 tuition assistance, 1/2 stipend)
- This amount is based on 320 hours/semester. It may be prorated depending on when position is filled and how many hours of work will actually be completed during the semester.
| | Qualifications | - Must be enrolled as a graduate student at Loyola College.
- Experience with community service and working with volunteers
- Demonstrates superior communication skills and organization skills.
- Ability to work with data and statistics
- Ability and willingness to work with faculty, students, and community representatives.
- Transportation to travel to and from St. Mary’s (< 1 mile)
- Ideally, available in the afternoons: T, W, Th 3:00-4:30PM (at least 2 of the 3 days)
- Willingness to be flexible and adjust
| | Responsibilities | Basic Responsibilites: Duties at St. Mary’s (5 hrs per week): Serve as a communication contact between Amy Maher and St. Mary’s Keeping teachers informed about Partnership projects/Faculty meeting updates Attend after school programs two times per week, at minimum Work with St. Mary’s obtaining data and keeping assessment of Partnership progress up to date
Duties at Loyola (15 hrs per week): Help recruit volunteers for: Homework Help, tutoring, teacher assisting, athletic program, workshops (art/computer/etc) Assist with volunteer’s paperwork Help plan volunteer orientations and reflections Various other tasks
