Welcome to the new Dean
The Loyola College Chapter of the IMA is proud to welcome Karyl Leggio, the new Dean of the Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J. School of Business and Management.
In a recent news release, the Dean said, "I am very proud to be associated with Loyola College in Maryland. Over the past several years, the Sellinger School has excelled and has gained national recognition for its undergraduate program (ranked 45th in the world), Executive MBA Program (one of the oldest in the United States), for its part-time MBA Program, for its commitment to globalization, and for its reaffirmation of both business school and accounting accreditation by AACSB International. This is an extraordinary place blessed with talented students and accomplished faculty, and I am very proud to be a member of this remarkable team. "
We are honored to have Dr. Leggio as the new Dean. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. Previously, she served as Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. As a finance professor, her research interests lie in the areas of deregulating industries and risk management, ranging from managing risk for the individual investor on up to managing enterprise wide risk.Dr. Leggio will most certainly be an asset to our ever-developing college. Again, we are proud to have her in this leading role at Loyola College and congratulate her for the work she's already done for the Sellinger School of Business! |
